About the Author
I’m Mel Phillips, and I believe every child deserves to feel understood, valued, and celebrate especially those who see the world a little differently.
When I was diagnosed with ADHD at 45, it was a life-changing moment. Suddenly, the puzzle pieces of my own story clicked into place. But it also opened my eyes to just how many children grow up feeling “too much” or “not enough” and how many parents, teachers, and professionals are trying their best to support them without the tools they truly need.
That’s why I created Wonderfully Made World: a place where stories, support, and connection meet.
Drawing from my own journey as a parent, counsellor, and coach, I ve created simple, joyful resources that help kids understand their brains, embrace their strengths, and feel proud of who they are.
My books and tools are designed to empower in a practical, heartfelt way to connect, uplift, and advocate for the neurodiverse children in their lives.
Every child is Wonderfully Made. Through storytelling and community, I’m here to remind families that they’re never alone and that different doesn’t mean broken; it means brilliant.
Coaching
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is ADHD coaching?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative process that helps individuals with ADHD develop personalized strategies for managing executive functioning, emotional regulation, motivation, and more. It’s not therapy—it’s a strengths-based approach focused on practical tools and forward movement.
2. How is ADHD coaching different from life coaching?
While life coaching focuses on goal-setting and personal growth, ADHD coaching is tailored to the unique neurological wiring of ADHD. It includes specific support for things like time management, impulsivity, and emotional overwhelm areas often overlooked in traditional coaching.
3. Who do you work with?
I coach teens, adults, and parents who are navigating ADHD or other neurodiverse profiles. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have known for years, coaching can help you move from surviving to thriving.
4. What can I expect in a coaching session?
Each session is a safe, non-judgmental space where we explore your challenges, celebrate your strengths, and build practical strategies. You’ll leave with tools you can use right away and a renewed sense of confidence in your wonderfully wired mind.
5. Do you offer online coaching?
Yes! I offer coaching sessions via Zoom, making it easy to connect from anywhere. I’m based in Perth/Melbourne, but I work with clients across Australia and internationally.
