Mira the Pool of Possibilities Resources

The Map
This tool turns tasks into engaging adventures by breaking them into smaller, manageable steps and visualising progress. It helps maintain motivation and organisation. By making tasks feel like a quest, it helps focus and self-esteem.

The Hourglass
This visual tool helps children understand the passage of time, which can be abstract and challenging for them. The physical representation of time through sand flow can reduce anxiety related to task duration and improve focus encouraging kids to manage and complete tasks effectively.

Music
Using music can create an ideal environment for focus. Rhythmic tunes or calming melodies help improve attention and foster creativity. Adding music into study sessions or daily routines can make tasks more enjoyable and emotionally engaging.

Regulation Activities
Learning to manage big feelings is important. Binky and the friends explore different ways to find calm that work just right for them. Every child is unique, and there’s no one way to feel better. These tools can help kids feel more in control, more confident, and ready to handle whatever comes next.

Mood Rainbow
A Mood Rainbow uses colours to show how you feel inside. Each colour stands for a different feeling like blue for sad, green for yuck (disgust), red for anger, or yellow for joy. It’s a fun and easy way to talk about your feelings using colours.

Emotional Awareness
Oliver’s Emotions helps kids understand what feelings are and why we have them. Each feeling has a job some protect us, some help us connect, and some help us grow. This tool shows how feelings can help or hurt, and how to use them in a way that feels good and safe.

Lola’s Feeling & Choices Map
Empowering Emotional Awareness and Decision Making, This map is a vibrant, interactive resource designed to help children and adults explore their emotions and make thoughtful, value based choices. This map offers a gentle scaffold, a way to externalise internal experiences and build confidence in their ability to choose wisely and respond with grace.

Lola’s Festival Maze
Lola’s festival maze is a visual tool that guides students through moments of emotional overwhelm or uncertainty. As they journey though the maze, they encounter turning points where they can pause, breathe and choose their next step with intention.
At each “calm turn,” Lola models how to: pause and breathe deeply, name the feelings, choose a kind response and reflect on the impact of their choice.

Peaceful Pause Practice Page
One of the most powerful things a child or adult can do is pause. The peaceful pause practice page is a calming, interactive tool designed to help students regulate their emotions, reconnect with their breath, and make mindful choices.
This activity features a dotted line path that children can trace with their finger while practicing slow, intentional breathing. A simple yet effective way to slow down racing thoughts, reconnect with the body, create space between feeling and reacting and build emotional resilience.
